The 15 year-old, who became the youngest ever winner of an MSA sanctioned car racing championship, when, at 14 years and 8 months old he clinched the junior one-make T Car title last season now has a few weeks to decide on whether he will take up the option to drive in BMW next season. A selection process which whittled down the original number to just 21 drivers was carried out between January and last week, where the youngsters were assessed on a variety of things, including speed, ability, age and experience. From those two days just five drivers were chosen and have been given the opportunity to contest next year’s Formula BMW UK Championship.
Adrian Quaife-Hobbs has been offered a BMW Scholarship worth £35,000 following a successful appearance at the wheel of a Formula BMW in Valencia last week. The reigning T Cars Champion and BRDC Rising Star impressed the judges including former F1 World Champion Nigel Mansell, when he was put through his paces last Monday and Tuesday. |
