Forget Monaco! The grand finals at round 3 of the summer championship looked to be a far more exciting prospect after witnessing the qualifying and pre-finals with many lap records being broken in the entertaining and competitive racing.
With yet another lap record being broken in the Minimax class with a 48.24, Adrian Hobbs was the driver to beat in this class. Adrian had pretty much dominated the large class all day, which continued into the final where he stormed off into the distance leaving the real race behind. Luciano Bacheta led this gaggle, with Bradley Smith, Jolyon Palmer, who had made an excellent start, and Sam Noble all in contention for the 2 nd position. As the race continued the excitement mounted as there was much overtaking and it turned into a very close race. Adrian took a fine win 12.87 seconds ahead of his closest rival with Luciano holding out for 2 nd in front of Jolyon Palmer in 3 rd with Bradley Smith in 4 th.
