The Minimax grand final started well for the front runners but a first corner incident ended the chances for some of the drivers at the back of the grid. Adrian Hobbs, who had earlier in the day broken the lap record with his 49.14, continued his good run of form by gaining a comfortable lead, which he held to the end in front of Steven Durrant who himself was heading a large gaggle of drivers behind. Jolyon Palmer was showing confidence as he eased his way into 3 rd place where he remained until the chequered flag, not quite being able to find his way past Steven. Steve Brown took the 4 th position.
