With fast times being set in qualifying in the Minimax class the racing was bound to be close throughout the day and we were not to be disappointed.  As the lights went to green in the grand final Adrian Hobbs, Steven Durrant and Daniel Rogers all seemed determined to take control but Adrian had the slight advantage.  By lap 4 Steven had the lead with Adrian waiting at his heels for the slightest of mistakes, which in the end were not forthcoming. Daniel was also biding his time but his efforts were rewarded as he took the chequered flag in 2 nd in front of Adrian in 3 rd, Adrian might have been able to challenge for the lead but on lap 4 he picked up a slow puncture and started to drop further back. Novice Jolyon Palmer who had looked impressive throughout the day could not capitalise on his achievement as he came to a halt in the final and could not make his way back to be with the front runners, whereas novice Luke Hooper gained himself the novice trophy by finishing in an impressive 6 th place overall.
